When people ask me what a dog’s day looks like in my training program, they usually expect a list of fixes. They think my approach is all about chasing down problem behaviors, correcting mistakes, or “nipping unwanted behavior in the bud” day in and day out.
But that’s not how real training works.
If you are only reacting to the bad stuff, you are missing the foundation entirely. My unique approach isn’t built on a checklist of problems to solve—it’s built on creating a deep relationship of trust and engagement with every single dog.
Here is the truth: You cannot have true engagement without trust.
Before a dog can focus on you, work with you, and give you their absolute best, they have to trust you. When you focus on building that bond first, the engagement follows naturally, and the “problem behaviors” start to fade away.
We aren’t just fixing dogs. We are building partnerships.
